Terminal Operator (Eaton, CO)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The responsibility of the loader is to manage the loading and unloading of the railcars and trucks of sand and inspect the amount of product safely and efficiently in each railcar
- Inspect the calibration on the conveyer belts to check product weight is properly captured
- Operate trans-loading equipment including an air compressor, transfer pumps, portable conveyor system, portable trans-loader and hand tools
- Guide all the operator/ truck drivers when coming into the facility
- Communicate with CB radio and /or company radio
- Data entry into the computer system
- Operate a locomotive and perform rail switch operations
- Engage in professional interaction and collaboration with other Twin Eagle Team Members and customers
- Assist with general maintenance, clean-up, and any other duties as assigned that will be taught
- Commitment to adapting to Twin Eagle’s safety culture
- Must be able to work outdoors in all environments.
- Must be able to cope with outdoor temperatures (hot and cold temperatures).
- You must be able to work weekends, and overtime work as needed
- Basic math and computer skills are preferred
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment including half mask respirator, hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses when expected
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Drivers license or reliable transportation
- Climb on and off rail-car and locomotive ladder
- Operate rail-car hand brakes & switches
- Consistently sit, kneel, squat, bend, stand and climb on elevated surfaces
- Be able to climb and work at high heights
- Work, walk, and stand on uneven ballast surfaces for long periods of time
- Lift 15 lbs. and work safely with this weight at knee, waist and shoulder level
- Lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the course of a shift
- Operate basic hand tools
